The Pot Chair

The Pot Chair by Nanna and Jørgen Ditzel was the very first prototype developed in the workshop of PP Møbler aps in 1953, the same year the Company was founded.

The Pot Chair has a solid beech frame and all the upholstery is

built up by hand using natural materials and traditional upholstery skills.

The chair was originally designed for AP Stolen who were at that time also the producers of Hans J. Wegner’s  Papa Bear Chair.

During the 1950’s and 1960’s AP Stolen was the leading Danish upholstery workshop using the traditional craft techniques of the period. Based in Copenhagen AP did not have a wood working facility. Nanna and Jørgen Ditzel introduced the company to PP Møbler and the rest is history.
