CH110
Desk

In the 1970’s Wegner designed a range of elegant modernist furniture using supporting frames of flat steel for Johannes Hansen which are now produced by Carl Hansen and Søn.

The desk surface floats above the steel frame and while a typical example of International Modernism it also requires great care to produce especially in the veneering of the desktop.

The JH810 re numbered CH110 is a generously proportioned desk reminiscent of furniture by Mies van der Rohs’s flat steel furniture and echoes the desk designed by Wegner’s Danish contempory architect Bodil Kjær designed in 1959.
